The virgin Greek goddess of innocence and purity, Astraea, is Virgo The Maiden. She is the daughter of Zeus and Greek Titaness Themis. Astraea lived with humans during the Golden Age. The Golden Age was the last age to be marked by prosperity, peace, everlasting spring, and humans never knowing old age. She was the last of the immortals to live with humans. As mankind deteriorated in the coming ages and started warring among themselves, Astraea abandoned the earth and ascended to heaven to become the constellation, Virgo.
